Company Law Courses
All companies, no matter how large or small, have to conform to a legal framework. When you are just starting out it can be difficult for you to know what the regulations are – and in larger companies it is normally the person in the position of company secretary who fulfils most of these duties. But how you do you go about appointing a company secretary and how do you ensure that your company stays up to date with all the latest regulations and practices? Company law courses from companies like Quorum Training are designed to help companies make sense of the legal framework they must function within and answer some of these important questions, no matter what size the company is.
There are several courses available in the company law section, including a four-part "Company Secretarial Practice" course that covers many aspects of this important job’s roles as well as some more background information on types of company and how to file resolutions and other documents correctly with Companies House. It also covers how to go about appointing the right person for the job in the first of the four parts. Other company law courses available include courses on the Companies Act, Insolvency Law, and a guide to document management.
Many of these courses have flexible options allowing you to choose between taking the course at a designated training centre and arranging for the training to be given as part of an "in-house" training program. The courses are designed for newly appointed company secretaries and their deputies and assistants, but is also useful as a refresher course for more experienced secretarial staff especially given the recent changes that were implemented with the introduction of the Companies Act 2006. For more details on the courses mentioned here, please visit the Company Law Courses section of the Quorum Training Website.
